Hi! I’m Tegan

My love of vintage began with my first pair of vintage peaches jeans that I found in my favourite opshop at age 17. However, it wasn’t until much later that this sparked the idea for S&F.

From someone who had never had much interest in the fashion world, vintage transformed how I view clothing and has helped me prioritise where I shop, who makes my clothes, and how I feel in my clothing.

S&F may have started as a way of rehoming fabulous garments but now hold my passion for connecting women with quality clothing that highlights their personality - while offering a sustainable and ethical way to shop

  • At S&F, it’s incredibly important to us that we are dating our items accurately, and are only bringing you genuine vintage pieces.

    We work hard to put the clues together (fabric type, the silhouette, vintage sizes, the labels, and the makers origin) so that you can rest assured that what your are buying is the real deal.

  • Over a 20 year - 80 year period, vintage clothing has transformed so much, not only with styles but with new colours and fabrics too.

    Some pieces are more commonly found than others. Each unique dress has different value based on the wearability, fabric, brand, rarity, and overall quality.

  • Throughout history, sizes - especially women's - have varied dramatically (and still continue to).

    Due to this, our listings have both modern and vintage sizes backed up with all the measurements you’ll need to ensure confidence our vintage will fit.

    For confident shopping, we suggest measuring your best fitting items (flat lay) so that you know your ideal measurements.

  • Due to the nature of vintage and the unpredictability of what we find, We can’t give a clear time frame of when we’ll have certain sizes in stock.

    However, we are constantly on the hunt for 6-16+ items and the best way to know about upcoming stock is to follow our Instagram account @saltandfunk

  • Yes! Most of our spectacular dresses are available for hire!

    This is a great way to look your best while keeping vintage clothing circulating.
