For the very first time, you can hire our fabulous vintage pieces for your special occasions. Hiring clothing is a conscious way to keep your wardrobe sustainable, while not missing out on fabulous, timeless designs that make you feel and look amazing!

How it works

It’s as easy as regular shopping. When you add one of our hireable items to your cart, you will have the option of selecting Hire or Buy. With a few extra questions to help us get your item ready for your event date.

Pricing

At the checkout you will pay the full price of the item. Upon returning the item, assuming that it is in the same condition as sent, we will refund you 50% of the item cost. Meaning you enjoyed the item for half the resale price!

Hire Period

Hiring of an item(s) is for a specific date, unless prior arrangements are made. The earliest an item can be hired is up to 4 weeks from your event, with a latest 1 weeks notice (so we can make sure your item arrives in time). Your hired item must be returned shipped within three working days of the event.

Shipping

Shipping is the same as any other purchase. We will provide a return bag, but do not cover the shipping cost of returning the item.

Return shipping must be tracked.

Late Fees

You will have 3 working days after your event to post the item back to our return address and notify us with the tracking code. Everyday the item is not posted/we are not notified of the tracking code, you will be charged $5 off your 50% refund.
If you require the item for a longer period or can’t post until after the 3 days, then simply get in touch and we can work something out.

Item Damage

Accidents happen, especially at events. If you have damaged the item, including but not restricted to: stains, rips, and missing details (i.e. buttons, sequins etc.) Please do not try to repair yourself or dry-clean! Washing and repairing vintage is extremely delicate work, and you could end up damaging it further.
Instead, inform us of the damage before you send it back, so we know what to expect. We will asses the damage when it arrives with us and we will refund you accordingly.
If the item has irreparable damage, and is no longer able to be sold, you will not receive the 50% refund.

What if I love the item and don’t want to return it?

We wouldn’t blame you for falling in love with our vintage! That’s the good thing about paying full price at the checkout - it means that she’s yours to keep if you want. Just let us know that you won’t be returning it.

I spilt wine on my dress, the tag says dry-clean, should I do that?

Please DON’T attempt to clean or repair the hired item yourself. Cleaning vintage is a process, and if not done right, you could cause irreparable damage. Even professional dry-cleaning.

Why do I have to pay full price if I’m hiring?

Think of it like a bond, we’re just holding onto that 50% until the item is safely back in our hands. We’re lucky to have fashion conscious customers that think out their purchases - this just ensures that you take care of, and return our vintage for the next person to enjoy!

What if the item doesn’t fit?

Just like any of our purchased items, from delivery you will have 24 hours to notify us and return post the item. If you do this, you will receive the full item refund, excluding shipping, once it’s back in our hands (in the same condition it was sent).

Why is return shipping not free?

We would love to provide free return shipping, but the reality for our small biz is that we can’t afford to cover that cost. With your support, we might be able to in the future!

What if I see something I want to hire, but there’s no option to?

We only have a selection of our most fabulous pieces for hire, but if there’s an item you are interested in that doesn’t currently have the option, please get in touch and we can work something out!
